The Governor of Darfur, Minni Arko Minawi, reiterated his condemnation of the crimes committed by the terrorist Janjaweed militia in northeastern Kutum against the residents of the areas of Bradik in Darfur and Wad Al-Noor and Al-Sireeha in Al-Gezira.
In a post on his official Facebook page, he stated: “What is happening in Bradik is a crime added to the record of humanitarian crimes, no less horrific than the massacres in Al-Noor and Al-Sireeha.”
He added, “The residents of Bradik, who are unarmed civilians, are facing brutal attacks by the militia with clear ethnic motives.”
Minawi pointed to the militia’s complete overrunning of the area, where more than 20 villages have been burned and properties looted.
The Governor of Darfur remarked, “It seems that Plan B has become clear to everyone, as the leader of the Dagalo militia mentioned, which is to transfer the war to Darfur, thus intensifying killings and looting based on ethnicity.”
He emphasized the need to raise voices to bring this tragedy to global attention and declared, “We will not allow this criminal behaviour against innocent citizens.”
The terrorist Janjaweed militia has been and continues to commit massacres against innocent, unarmed civilians on an ethnic basis in villages northeast of Kutum, particularly in Bradik.
