The Khartoum Governor Ahmed Osman Hamza on Friday inspected the implementation of the regulations and procedures established by the Khartoum State Security Affairs Committee and the General Directorate of Transport and Petroleum for fuel distribution at service stations in the Karari and Omdurman localities. He was accompanied on the tour by the Executive Director of Omdurman Locality, Saif Al-Din Mukhtar, and the Executive Director of Karari Locality, Omar Mohamed Ahmed Al-Naeem.

The Governor also reviewed the oversight of the distribution process by security forces at the stations and emphasized the importance of regulating the distribution process and adhering to its regulations, most notably verifying the licensing of vehicles, rickshaws, and tuk-tuks. The Governor noted that the General Directorate of Transport and Petroleum has designated specific fuel stations for public vehicles, intercity buses, trucks, rickshaws, tuk-tuks, and security forces, each at its designated pump, to ensure that each sector receives its allocated share and to reduce congestion and long queues. The governor called on the relevant security agencies to adhere to the regulations set by the State Security Affairs Committee and the General Administration of Transport and Petroleum, referring to the arrangements made by the higher authorities in the state aimed at providing the necessary quantities of petroleum products, which constitute the state’s primary objective.
