Prime Minister Directs Payment of Teachers’ Outstanding Dues Across Sudan

Prime Minister Kamil Idris directed the payment of outstanding dues owed to teachers across all states of Sudan.
The directive came during his meeting today with Minister of Education and National Education Dr. Al-Tihami Al-Zein Hajar, in the presence of Minister of Finance Gibril Ibrahim, Chairman of the General Trade Union of Public Education Workers Abbas Habib Allah, and Chairman of the Sudanese Professional Teachers’ Union Nizar Al-Sheikh Idris.
The Minister of Education and National Education said in a press statement that the meeting discussed teachers’ salaries and their centralization, confirming that outstanding payments would be disbursed across all states within the coming few days.
For his part, the Chairman of the General Trade Union of Public Education Workers expressed his appreciation for the Prime Minister’s attention to education issues and efforts to improve teachers’ conditions, stressing the commitment to making further efforts to contribute to the stability of the educational process across the country.
