The draw for the CECAFA U-20 qualifiers for the 2027 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, held Monday afternoon in Tanzania, placed Sudan’s U-20 national team in Group B alongside Uganda and Djibouti.
The tournament will take place from September 15-25 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Nine teams are participating in the qualifiers, divided into three groups. The top team from each group, along with the best second-placed team, will advance to the semi-finals.
The two finalists will qualify directly for the 2027 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, scheduled to be held in Ghana. Reaching the final serves as a gateway to the continental championship. The Sudanese national under-20 team continues its preparations in the Rwandan capital, Kigali, through a training camp aimed at preparing the team in the required manner before the kick-off of the qualifiers.
