Spokesperson for the Joint Forces: New Massacre by the Militia in “Bir Saliba” Claims the Lives of 10 Civilians

Cairo – Sudanhorizon – Sabah Mousa

Major Mutawakil Ali, known as “Abuja,” spokesperson for the Joint Forces, stated that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia committed a horrific massacre against innocent civilians today, Sunday, in the Bir Saliba area in the western part of the country. The attack resulted in the deaths of ten civilians and left five others injured. He condemned the incident in the strongest possible terms.

In an exclusive statement, Abuja asserted that targeting innocent civilians constitutes a grave violation of international humanitarian law—an unacceptable crime that cannot be justified under any circumstances. He added that the resort to shelling civilians, following failures on the battlefield, reflects a callous disregard for innocent lives and safety, and adds a new chapter to the record of abuses committed against the civilians.

The spokesperson for the Joint Forces offered prayers for the souls of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the wounded. He emphasized the necessity of protecting civilians, holding those responsible for these crimes accountable, and ensuring they do not escape punishment. He further confirmed that the area is now fully secured.

It is noteworthy that the Bir Saliba area was liberated by the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Joint Forces on October 5th.
