Sudan’s Foreign Minister and Arab League Secretary-General Discuss Issues of Mutual Interest

Sudanese Foreign and International Cooperation Minister, Mohi El-Din Salem, on Wednesday received a telephone call from Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States.
The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that the Minister congratulated Fahmy on assuming his duties as Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, expressing his sincere wishes for success in leading the joint Arab action and fulfilling the aspirations of the Arab peoples amidst the current challenges facing the region.
The Arab League is one of the five-member mechanism actively mediating to end the war in Sudan, alongside the United Nations, the African Union, IGAD, and the European Union.
According to the statement, the two sides discussed during the call ways to strengthen relations and develop mechanisms for joint action, emphasizing the importance of continued coordination and consultation between Sudan and the General Secretariat of the Arab League on regional and international issues of common interest.
