Minister: War Has Become Economic, Youth Are Central to Recovery

Minister of Youth and Sports Ahmed Adam stated that the current war facing the country has transformed into an economic war waged both internally and externally. He emphasized the pivotal and crucial role of youth in leading the recovery plan and confronting these challenges through community awareness and intensified creative activities.
The minister made remarks during meetings at his office, Sunday, with youth organizations and unions, in the presence of Abdel-Hafiz Abdel-Makram, the Minister’s Advisor; Sayed Al-Hadi, Director of the General Administration of Youth; and Nabeha Abdel-Rahman, Director of Youth Organizations.
The Minister explained that the return of citizens and their large turnout sends a strong message to the world that Sudan is safe and stable. He highlighted the importance of amplifying the voice of youth so that it is reflected at all state institutions and various official events by presenting genuine plans, projects, and initiatives that stem from their diverse capabilities.
The Minister called on youth organizations to understand the nature of the current phase and raise awareness among citizens to address the repercussions of the economic crisis. He emphasized the importance of diversifying youth programs and projects to encompass social, cultural, and sporting fields, such as supporting childhood programs and sports activities that reflect the dynamism of society. He also announced serious efforts to establish and unify the name “Supreme Council for Youth and Sports” in all Sudanese states to unify and coordinate youth efforts and formulate a comprehensive vision to be adopted by the state and supported by all official bodies.
For his part, Sayed Al-Hadi, Director of the General Administration for Youth at the Ministry, announced that the next phase will be dedicated to development and construction, focusing entirely on coordinating and integrating youth efforts and activities and enhancing their active participation in shaping the country’s future.
Furthermore, youth organizations and unions presented their vision for the next phase, focusing on their role in rehabilitating youth and sports infrastructure. They affirmed their cooperation and unity to create a conducive environment within the sports city, signaling the launch of the sports city project and its return to its former status.
