Advanced Electronic Player Registration Systems Workshop Opens in Port Sudan

The Advanced Workshop on the FIFA Connect and Transfer Matching System (TMS) officially commenced on Saturday afternoon at Al-Basiri Plaza Hotel in Port Sudan. The workshop is organized by the local football association and is being attended by 40 participants, including representatives from first- and second-division clubs affiliated with the Port Sudan Local Football Association.

The workshop is being led by delegates from the Sudan Football Association, including Engineer Sami Jadid, the association’s Club Licensing Officer, and Haitham Mohamed Nour, the system administrator.

During the opening session, Professor Ali Abdullah, President of the Port Sudan Local Football Association, welcomed the lecturers, the workshop coordinator, and the participants. He described the workshop as a major step toward development and modernization, noting that institutional development is a strategic objective of the association’s current administration. He wished the participants success and officially declared the workshop open.

In remarks to the association’s media office, Mohamed Nour Salah, Secretary-General of the local association, praised the initiative, stating that it will help clubs move toward professional standards and represents a significant advancement in administrative practices within the Port Sudan football community.

Members of the association’s board of directors attended the opening ceremony, including Treasurer Barai Shaheen, Deputy Secretary Oshik Kajar, and board members Mamoun Zuhour, Tayseer Khalifa, and Babiker Mohamed Salih, who also participated in the workshop as a trainee. They were joined by association employees led by Executive Director Al-Sadiq Osman and several other staff members.

The first day’s sessions featured extensive discussions and active engagement from participants, reflecting the clubs’ strong interest in enhancing their understanding and application of modern player registration and transfer procedures through the FIFA electronic systems.
