Arab Organization Launches Agricultural Capacity Building Programs from Khartoum

The Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) has launched a program to develop human resources in the agricultural sector from its headquarters in Sudan.
The Minister of State at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, Mohamed Nour Abdel-Daim, commended the organization’s resumption of operations from the capital, Khartoum.
In a meeting at his office in Khartoum on Thursday with the Director-General of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD), Professor Ibrahim Adam Ahmed Al-Dukhairi, Abdel-Daim stated that the reconstruction phase requires concerted efforts from all relevant parties, according to the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning’s media office.
The Minister of State announced his strong support for the capacity-building project launched by the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development, which is considered part of its program to return to Khartoum, in addition to other agriculture-related projects.
The discussion also touched on the Minister’s upcoming visit to Washington and his meetings with major financial institutions, and the resulting impact on reconstruction efforts in Sudan.
For his part, Professor Ibrahim Al-Dukhairi, Director General of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) in Sudan, affirmed that the meeting was a fruitful and focussed on resuming the organization’s activities from its headquarters in Khartoum. He added that the meeting “addressed the human capacity development program, where we highlighted the importance of these initiatives in enhancing agricultural efficiency.”
Al-Dukhairi pointed out that the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development plays a vital technical role with various ministries, especially those related to agriculture, reflecting its commitment to achieving sustainable development. He said, “We were warmly received and held fruitful meetings with a number of ministers, all of whom emphasized the importance of cooperation during these challenging times.”
The AOAD Director has further stressed that returning to Khartoum truly reflects the revitalization of the country and underscores the necessity of effective communication with stakeholders across various economic sectors. He stressed that the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development is a key partner of the Ministry of Finance and other economic ministries related to the agricultural sector..
