“Kambo Taiba” Investigation Committee Takes Oath

The Chairman and members of the Investigation Committee into the recent events in “Kambo Taiba” in Gezira State took oath before the Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander Malik Agar Eir, in Port Sudan today on Saturday.

Based on the decision issued by the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council.

The Chairman of the Committee, Counselor Yasser Bashir Al-Bukhari, First Assistant to the Attorney General of the Republic of Sudan, confirmed in a press statement that the committee will begin its work immediately, by interrogating witnesses, hearing their statements, collecting evidence, and determining all the reasons, circumstances and conditions that led to the events, assessing losses, and taking all necessary measures to enforce the law, indicating that the judicial and regulatory agencies will work to achieve justice and establish the rule of law.

Two days ago, the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, issued a decision to form the committee, headed by Mr. Yasser Bashir Al-Bukhari, First Assistant to the Attorney General of the Republic of Sudan, and the membership of others.
