The Sudanese diplomatic mission in Turkey has organized a special meeting on Sunday for Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris, on his return with his accompanying delegation from Germany, following their participation in the Munich Security Conference.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister received a comprehensive briefing from Ambassador Nader Youssef, Sudan’s Ambassador to Turkey, on Sudanese-Turkish relations and ways to support and develop them. He also received a briefing from Nizar Atta Al-Mannan, head of the Sudanese community in Istanbul, on the community’s situation, activities, and contributions in supporting the war on terror, as well as its role in overcoming obstacles facing the Sudanese presence in the region.
In a related context, Ahmed Musa Hussein Dharar, Chairman of the Sudanese Businessmen Association, highlighted the association’s role in facilitating networking between economic institutions in both countries. He also emphasized the need to build economic partnerships between the private sectors of both nations, noting the importance of leveraging Turkish expertise in the field of clean energy.
Meanwhile, Qatada Kamal Al-Toumi Youssef, President of the General Union of Sudanese Students in Turkey, provided an overview of the situation of Sudanese students in various Turkish universities, pointing out their positive contributions through their participation in Turkish scientific competitions.
The meeting was attended by Lieutenant General Abbas Mohamed Bakheet, Deputy Director of the General Intelligence Service; Dr. Hussein Al-Hafyan and Mr. Nizar Abdullah, advisors to the Prime Minister; Ambassador Badr Al-Din Al-Jaafari; and Ambassador Osama Mahjoub, the Consul General.
