Omdurman – Sudanhorizon
The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, has inspected the headquarters of the General Authority for Radio and Television and got debriefed on the progress made in resuming broadcasting.
Burhan toured the studios and various departments, congratulating the staff on their efforts and success in broadcasting the main news from within the headquarters.
Burhan stated that the Armed Forces are continuing their efforts to extend their control over the entire national territory, explaining that the army is supported by the people and will reach all citizens affected by the war.
General Burhan congratulated the people of Kadugli on the reopening of the road and the flow of humanitarian aid to the citizens, emphasizing that SAF are continuing their efforts to reach all war-affected areas.
He added that the Sudanese people have a just cause and are defending their survival and existence, saying, “There is no force that can stand in the way of these legitimate goals.”
The Chairman of the Sovereign Council has meanwhile stressed that any call for peace and a cessation of hostilities would be responded to, emphasizing that ending the war would not come at the expense of Sudanese lives. He pointed to the harsh conditions endured by the Sudanese people as a result of the aggression launched by the terrorist Rapid Support Forces militia.
He added, “We will not sell out the blood of the Sudanese people or squander their rights.” He stated that any truce or ceasefire must take into account the blood that has been shed and the martyrs who fell on the battlefield.
He further stated, “We welcome any truce or ceasefire, provided it is not exploited for the reinforcement of the enemy or for allowing the militia to regroup.”
He sent a message to the people of El Fasher, assuring them that the armed forces were advancing towards them with the support of the joint forces, the mobilized, and the popular resistance.
