A mission organized by the General Authority for Geological Research in the Blue Nile region, in cooperation with the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company and several other relevant entities, left the regional office of the General Authority for Geological Research in the Blue Nile region to Al-Rusayris locality.

The mission is headed to the Al-Rusayris locality, specifically the Al-Qari area, known for its high-quality chromium deposits.

The mission aims to conduct field visits to existing companies and inactive sites, and to study these sites technically and geologically, as well as to determine the extent of the ore deposits. The goal is to select promising areas to be added to the chromium project being undertaken by the regional office.

It is worth noting that the targeted area has witnessed significant activity in the field from some companies, some of which have ceased operations, while others have resumed their activities.
