Sudan: Directives to Banks in Some States to Reject Deposits of Withdrawn Currency Denominations

The operations and monitoring room for currency replacement has directed bank branches in states not targeted by the currency replacement initiative to refrain from accepting any cash deposits in the withdrawn denominations, effective immediately.

The Central Bank of Sudan has instructed branches in the targeted states to extend their working hours and operate during official holidays, in coordination with the branches of the Central Bank of Sudan and security agencies in the relevant states, to facilitate the currency replacement process.
