Spokesperson for the Armed Forces: The UAE’s Fabricated Allegations Are an Attempt to Cover Up Its Aggressive Behavior in Supporting the Militia

Khartoum – Sudanhorizon
The Sudanese Armed Forces have described the statement issued by the United Arab Emirates regarding the interception of a shipment of military equipment allegedly headed for the Sudanese army as a desperate attempt to cover up its involvement in supporting the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which are committing heinous crimes against Sudanese civilians.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the official spokesperson of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Nabil Abdullah, accused the UAE of trying to cover up its involvement in supporting the militia and fueling violence against Sudanese civilians, saying:
“When the Sudanese government exposed the UAE’s criminal role in supporting the militia and its complicity in killing Sudanese people, the UAE resorted to fabricating false accusations.”
The spokesperson strongly rejected the UAE’s claim of thwarting an arms shipment allegedly destined for Sudan, emphasizing that Sudan is a sovereign state with a national army that does not need to smuggle weapons. He accused the UAE of “criminal conduct,” pointing out that it is supplying the rebel Dagalo militia with all types of military equipment—from ammunition to strategic drones—and financing the war against the Sudanese people.
He added:
“This is not an accusation; it is a fact supported by irrefutable evidence.”
He continued:
“We have presented the world with conclusive evidence, including weapons, ammunition, and military equipment that were seized and captured from militia positions across Sudan.”
