Mubarak Ardol, Chairman of the Leadership Council for the Democratic Alliance for Social Justice, revealed that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia acquired the Israeli spyware “Pegasus” and used it to hack the phones of several state leaders.
In an interview with Sudanhorizon, to be published later, Ardol said he was shocked to discover that Hemedti was spying on them in the Airport District and on all individuals opposing him. Ardol explained that his security team became aware of this, especially since the network would unusually disappear inside the house.
Ardol added, “I learned from a senior security source that all these phones had been hacked. One day, I talked with Hemedti about something I had only discussed with one person, and he told me he had video recordings of me. I told him to go ahead and publish them.”
Ardol described phone hacking and using spyware against politicians as malicious and unethical, which the law condemns.
Regarding his departure from the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company, Ardol confirmed that it was due to multi-party conspiracies, stating, “They think my strength comes from the mining sector, and to limit my political role and influence, they worked to push me out of the government.”
He asserted that he would not wear a military uniform during this war because he is a political figure and believes Sudan does not need military leaders. He confirmed that they have mobilized thousands of members of the Democratic Alliance for Justice, who are currently on the field. “The number of martyrs exceeds one hundred from our membership, and we have fought alongside the armed forces in the battles of Khartoum and Al-Jazeera. We have martyrs and wounded in the recent battles of Tambul,” he added.
