Minister of Information Discusses Merging State Radio and TV Authorities

The Minister of Culture and Information, Mr. Khaled Al-Aeisir, announced an upcoming workshop for the state radio and television authorities to be held in Al-Qadarif State. The workshop will focus on discussing the mechanisms for implementing the Cabinet’s decision to place state media authorities under the General Authority for Radio and Television.

The minister met with a delegation from the Al-Qadarif State Radio and Television Authority, headed by Abdel Bari Kafi Koh, at his office in Port Sudan on Sunday. The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information, Ms. Sumaya Al-Hadi, and the Director General of the General Authority for Radio and Television, Ibrahim Al-Bazai.

Al-Aeisir emphasised the ministry’s commitment to implementing the affiliation decision according to regulations, laws, and professional standards that ensure no harm to anyone. He highlighted the goal of reflecting the state’s efforts and unifying the media message. The workshop aims to facilitate discussions with state governors, relevant ministries, and directors of state media authorities. The minister also announced several initiatives the ministry is adopting to advance the media sector and address its issues.
