Mineral Resources: RSF Militias Attack Mine in South Kordofan

The Sudanese Mineral Resources Company (SMRC) stated that the market at the Bajoun mine in South Kordofan State was attacked on Friday by drones unleashed by to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militias.
In a press release issued , Saturday, the company confirmed that the attack targeted four milling facility complexes, causing significant material damage, according to preliminary reports.
Dr. Mohamed Abdel Rahim, Director of the General Administration for Environment and Safety at the SMRC, revealed that initial reports indicate no deaths or injuries. He explained that the attack coincided with the Friday holiday, a time when workers were not present at the targeted sites.
He added that the company is monitoring the aftermath of the incident in coordination with the relevant authorities to assess the extent of the damage and quantify the losses, noting that full details will be announced once more information becomes available.
