The head of the Sudanese Liberal Democratic Party, Dr. Mayada Suwar Al-Dahab, said that targeting Port Sudan with suicide drones represents a dangerous shift and development, “aimed at breaking the will, violating national sovereignty, and weakening the internal unity.
She also stated that it is a desperate attempt to save the militia and bring it back to life through negotiations that will restore its presence in the political landscape and impose it on Sudanese reality as part of a project to re-divide the region, dismantle the country, and divide it into mini-states.”
Dr. Mayada added, in a statement issued on Monday and seen by Sudanhorizon, that this challenge “places us in an open and direct confrontation with the original parties to the brutal aggression against Sudan. This requires a new strategy to address these changes and build an integrated national strategy based on activating diplomatic mechanisms, taking immediate action at the regional and international levels, and working to build international and regional strategic alliances to achieve military and security objectives in accordance with international norms and agreements to confront the aggression in international and regional forums.”
In her statement, Dr. Mayada addressed the country’s leadership, stating that “the leadership must redouble its military efforts and address security shortcomings to protect the country, impose the state’s authority, and activate legal mechanisms to deter fifth columns and those collaborating with the rebel militias, as well as confront sleeper cells that have become a key tool in undermining the social fabric.”
She added that “the law must be applied to political parties and leaders, and that state governors must fulfill their role in maintaining security, tightening security, and enforcing the law.”
The statement concluded by stating that “it is crucial to activate traditional and modern national media to guide domestic public opinion, strengthen internal unity, and enhance the national spirit. Sudanese communities abroad must work to connect Sudanese people to the major issues of their country during this crisis facing Sudan’s stability and development, as many hostile parties seek to disrupt the development process by creating political conflicts and disputes.”
She added that the Sudanese must seize the opportunity from their enemies and “align to end the war, defeat the militias, restore stability, and work toward rebuilding the state.”
