Export Development Bank Joins Sudanese Banks Offering the “Esali” Service

The Ministry of Finance and the Export Development Bank have signed a legal agreement to link the bank to the government-owned electronic collection and payment service, “Esali.”
The agreement was signed on Tuesday by Al-Tayeb Al-Sadiq, Director General of the Ministry’s Accounts Department, and Abdul-Khaliq Al-Samani, the bank’s Director General. The signing ceremony was attended by Amir Ibrahim, the Ministry’s Legal Advisor; Najat Mohamed Al-Hassan, Director General of Revenues; Lamia Mohamed Al-Nour, Director General of Information Technology at the Ministry; and the bank’s Deputy Director.
The signing of the agreement comes within the framework of the progress made in the financial reform programs implemented by the Ministry to achieve the desired goals in the field of digital transformation.
The number of banks and financial institutions that meet the criteria and conditions for linking with the Central Bank of Sudan to facilitate procedures and achieve the goals of electronic collection and payment, serving the government and the public, has reached 23 out of a total of 38 banks and financial institutions.
