Army Announces Setting Free Militia Captives

The Sudanese Armed Forces said that it has succeeded in setting free three officers who were held prisoners by the rebel Rapid Support Militia in the “Al-Fitaihab” area south of Omdurman.
The Army on Tuesday said that it carried out a special operation during which it succeeded in killing more than 20 rebels in Al-Fitaihab area, including the commander of the rebel force.
It is to be noted that the Sudanese Armed Forces, the forces supporting it from the Security and Intelligence Service, the Joint Forces and the mobilized persons, are currently carrying out special operations inside Omdurman province, aimed at clearing a number of neighborhoods in the city from rebel and militia presence.
