Al-Merreikh’s Football Squad Leaves for Kigali

Sudanese Al-Merreikh’s football team left Port Sudan Airport this afternoon, Monday, for Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, to hold a training camp there in preparation for the upcoming season in the CAF Champions League and the Sudanese Premier League.
A press release issued by Al-Merreikh’s management stated that the first group of the delegation includes 12 players, in addition to four foreign professionals who recently joined the team. The full squad will be completed next Wednesday.
Last week, Al-Merreikh’s management apologized for not participating in the CECAFA Club Championship acting on the recommendation of its technical staff.
