Al Hilal Defeat Burundi’s Aigle Noir 2-1 to Take First-Leg Advantage

Sudan’s Al Hilal have taken a major step toward the second preliminary round after defeating hosts Aigle Noir of Burundi 2-1 in the first leg of the first preliminary round of the CAF Champions League. The match was played on Saturday afternoon in the Burundian capital, Bujumbura.

Al Hilal’s goals were scored by Sudanese player Yasser Gobak and Mauritanian professional Ahmed Salem.

The Blue side will now await the second leg, which will be played at their temporary home in Rwanda’s capital, Kigali, next week. Al Hilal will advance with a win or draw, or even a 1-0 defeat.
