Airstrikes Hit Nyala Airport Wednesday Morning

Sudanhorizon – Special
Field sources have quoted eyewitnesses in Nyala city as hearing huge explosions and seen columns of smoke rising up from Nyala Airport direction, western Sudan, this Wednesday morning.
The Sources suggested that the sounds and smoke columns were the result of explosions in ammunition depots that had been stored by the Rapid Support Forces militia in the sites annexed to the airport, which has been receiving shipments of weapons and ammunition for now two years.
But concurrently, Nyala Airport has been subjected to targeted strikes by the Sudanese Air Force and its drones throughout this period, the most notable of which was the strike it received on May the 3rd, which hit a cargo plane that had just landed at the airport carrying foreigners, reportedly including experts from the UAE.
