A New Batch of SPLM Members Joins Sudanese Armed Forces

The Governor of Blue Nile State and Head of the Security Committee, Commander Ahmed Al-Umda, and the Commander of the 4th Infantry Division of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) on Sunday witnessed in Damazin the completion of security arrangements for a new group of members of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N), Second Front, integration into the Armed Forces.

Addressing the event, the Governor of Blue Nile State, Al Uma, said, “We affirm the state’s continued commitment to completing security arrangements for all SPLM-N members to become part of the Armed Forces.”

He told the new recruits, “You will receive instructions and directives from the Division Command and the Armed Forces as soldiers of the Sudanese Army.”

The Commander of the 4th Division stated, “Our message to everyone is that the members of the SPLM-N, Second Front, have become soldiers in the Sudanese Armed Forces, and the procedures for the remaining forces will be completed soon, God willing, in 2026. We affirm that all forces, in addition to the mobilized Popular Resistance, are united in carrying out all tasks within their areas of responsibility.”

The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N) – Second Front is headed by Commander Malik Agar Eyre, Vice President of the Transitional Sovereign Council, and its members hail from the Blue Nile region.
