Minister of Finance: The International Community Has Not Provided Enough Support to Sudan

Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Dr. Jibril Ibrahim said that “the international community has not provided the required support to Sudan and has not taken action to condemn the rebel militia.”

The minister affirmed during his meeting with the British Ambassador to Sudan, at the Ministries Complex in Port Sudan today (Wednesday), his country’s desire for the British government to participate in supporting efforts to achieve comprehensive peace and address the economic effects of the war on citizens as well as on infrastructure and basic services.

For his part, the British Ambassador to Sudan expressed his country’s interest in stopping the war in Sudan and working to ensure humanitarian aid reaches those affected by the conflict.
