Agar Briefs Afwerki on Events Developments in Sudan

The Vice President of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Malik Agar Eyre, has briefed Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki on the latest developments in Sudan, particularly the humanitarian and military situation, and Sudan’s position towards international initiatives.

Agar explained that the meeting on Friday also addressed regional and international developments and attempts to hoard the resources of African countries. He emphasized Sudan’s readiness to cooperate with Eritrea and all countries in the region to develop a strategy for combating the phenomenon of soft occupation, which is carried out through agents and proxies within African countries themselves.

A press release issued by the Sovereign Council’s media office stated that the Eritrean President has affirmed his solidarity with the government and people of Sudan, noting that Eritrea hosts a large number of Sudanese in their second home without any restrictions.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Vice President of the Sovereign Council met the Sudanese community in Eritrea and briefed them on the situation in Sudan.
