Chief of Police: We Lay the Ground for Citizens Return Home

Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, met today with Police General (Legal) Amir Abdel Moneim Fadl, Director General of the Police Forces.

In a press statement, the Director General of Police said the meeting addressed the overall security situation in the country and the efforts being made to achieve security and stability.

He noted that he briefed the Sovereignty Council Chairman on the security measures and arrangements in place to maintain and extend security, uphold state authority, and enforce the rule of law in Khartoum State, following the relocation of the Ministry of Interior and the Police Forces to directly assume their duties in the state.

He affirmed the police’s commitment to upholding state authority, strengthening security, and creating a suitable environment for citizens to resume their normal lives.
