Lukashenko Receives Credentials of Sudanese Ambassador

President Alexander Lukashenko of Belarusia has received the credentials of Ambassador Omar Al-Amin Abdullah as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Sudan to Belarus.
The meeting was attended by Belarusian Foreign Minister, Maxim Ryzhenkov, and the Director of the Protocol Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
President Lukashenko emphasized that Sudan is one of his country’s long-standing and reliable partners on the African continent, expressing his appreciation for the bilateral relations between the two countries.
He explained that Belarusian products, particularly agricultural machinery, are widely used in Sudan, noting that there are significant opportunities to enhance cooperation in the fields of agriculture, industry, energy, education, and healthcare.
He also wished the Sudanese people peace and stability, stressing that this would pave the way for further cooperation between the two countries.
For his part, Ambassador Omar Al-Amin conveyed the greetings of the Chairman of the Sovereign Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, to President Lukashenko, stressing Sudan’s keenness to develop bilateral relations and advance them to broader levels, particularly in the economic and cultural fields, and to benefit from Belarusian expertise in the fields of agriculture and industry.
He expressed his gratitude for Belarus’s support for Sudan’s unity and sovereignty, praising President Lukashenko’s visit to Khartoum in 2017 and his historic address before the Sudanese Parliament.
