A senior White House official has outlined President Donald Trump’s vision for Saudi Arabia’s potential accession to the Abraham Accords, indicating that normalization with Israel is a key condition for moving forward with a proposed civilian nuclear agreement.

Stephen Miller, White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy, said during an appearance on The Will Cain Show that President Trump has a deep understanding of Saudi Arabia, its leadership, and its long-term vision for the future.

Miller said that joint U.S.-Saudi efforts, rooted in President Trump’s 2017 Riyadh speech, have helped transform the Kingdom into a stronghold against violent terrorism and one of the principal pillars of stability in the region.

Speaking separately during a White House press conference, Trump said Saudi Arabia should join the Abraham Accords if it wishes to obtain a civilian nuclear program.

The U.S. president argued that the previous obstacle related to Iran no longer exists, saying Tehran has lost its dominance and influence as a major power in the Middle East, creating an opportunity for what he described as a historic normalization step.

Trump said the Abraham Accords have delivered significant benefits to the countries that have joined them, adding that Saudi Arabia’s participation would represent a defining moment for the future of the region.

On the proposed civilian nuclear program, Trump said it would proceed without uranium enrichment, describing the arrangement as a two-way partnership that is critically important for ensuring security and stability in the Middle East.

Saudi Arabia’s publicly stated position on normalization remains that it is contingent upon Israel’s recognition of an independent and fully sovereign Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders.
