Sudan Participates in the Opening of FIFA’s Regional Headquarters in Morocco

Sudan is participating in the opening of the FIFA Regional Headquarters in Morocco, with a delegation consisting of Professor Walid Ahmed Hussein Al-Sheikh (Bashar), Vice President of the Federation and Chairman of the Amateur and Academies Committee, and Engineer Abu Al-Qasim Al-Awad Shihab Al-Din Muhammad, Vice President of the Federation and Chairman of the Players’ Status and Transfers Committee. The opening is scheduled for tomorrow, on Saturday, as the first headquarters in an African and Arab country.
FIFA has chosen the capital, Rabat, to host the new headquarters, which is located near the Mohammed VI Football Complex, one of the most prominent sports facilities on the continent.
The opening of the headquarters will take place hours before the final of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, in the presence of FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who arrived in Morocco early and was received by Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF).
The opening ceremony is expected to be attended by Dr. Patrick Motsepe, President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), along with a number of federation officials.
Baashar and Al-Awad has left on Thursday, for Cairo and from there to Rabat after the Sudanese Football Association received an official invitation from the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) to attend and participate.
