Sudanese Ambassador in Cairo: Al-Burhan to Address the Emergency Arab Summit and Support the Egyptian Initiative for Gaza Reconstruction

The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, will participate tomorrow (Tuesday) in the Emergency Arab Summit on the Palestinian issue, convened at the invitation of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
The Sudanese Ambassador to Cairo and Sudan’s Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Imad Adawi, confirmed that Sudan has already participated in the consultative meeting of Arab foreign ministers with a delegation led by Foreign Minister Dr. Ali Youssef Al-Sharif. He emphasized Sudan’s firm stance on the Palestinian cause, its full support for the Arab consensus, and the necessity of defending the Palestinian people’s right to an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital. He also reaffirmed Sudan’s commitment to all Arab summit resolutions and international legitimacy decisions.
Adawi stated that Sudan has expressed its full solidarity with the Palestinian Authority and the Palestinian people in all bilateral meetings held by the Sudanese Foreign Minister with his Arab counterparts.
He further explained that General Al-Burhan will address the emergency Arab summit scheduled to be held tomorrow in the Egyptian capital, Cairo. He highlighted Al-Burhan’s commitment to attending the summit due to his special interest in the Palestinian cause and his support for the Egyptian leadership’s initiative to unify the Arab stance and mobilize the necessary regional and international attention to reconstruct Gaza.
Adawi also stressed Sudan’s appreciation for all Arab efforts to support the Palestinian people and reaffirmed Sudan’s support for the Arab League and its main institutions in assisting the Palestinian economy and various sectors of the state in preparation for the anticipated reconstruction phase.
