Joint Forces: The Militia Has Failed on the Ground, Suffering Heavy Losses

Sudanhorizon – Mariam Bashir – Exclusive

The Joint Forces have confirmed that the operational and field situation in North Darfur State, particularly in El Fasher, is proceeding as planned and under excellent control.

In an exclusive statement to Sudanhorizon, the official spokesperson for the Joint Forces, Ahmed Hussein Mustafa, expressed optimism about the imminent clearing of El Fasher by the Joint Forces and the Sudanese Armed Forces. He indicated that El Fasher would serve as the starting point for the liberation of other cities in the Darfur region and across Sudan.

He noted that the Joint Forces have inflicted successive defeats on the militia in the desert axis, causing them heavy losses in personnel and equipment. He stated that the militia has completely failed on the battlefield and now relies on scattered remnants engaging in infiltration and skirmishes in the eastern outskirts of El Fasher.

Hussein highlighted that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and their mercenaries have resorted to indiscriminate artillery shelling from outside the city, targeting densely populated residential areas. They have also consistently attacked displaced persons’ camps in Zamzam, Neivasha, and Abu Shouk, as well as civilian infrastructure, including frequent assaults on the women and maternity hospital.

The spokesperson reiterated the commitment of the Joint Forces to restoring peace and security in the region and holding the militia accountable for their actions against civilians.
