Livestock Bank Shareholders’ Committee Calls for Dissolution of Administrative Committee and Return of Bank to Army Oversight

Khartoum – Sudanhorizon

The Livestock Bank Shareholders’ Committee has called for the dissolution of the administrative committee formed by the Central Bank of Sudan to oversee the bank and manage its operations.

Khalid Mohamed Khair, Chairman of the Shareholders’ Committee, told Sudanhorizon on Saturday that the administrative committee had so far failed to present any plans or achieve tangible results. He added that the fact that its chairman was outside the country had contributed to disruptions and shortcomings in the bank’s performance.

Mohamed Khair called on the Sovereignty Council to implement its decisions under Constitutional Decree No. (6), which stipulates the transfer of the bank to the army, and to establish a new board of directors to address the challenges and encroachments affecting the bank’s assets and properties.

He affirmed the committee’s commitment to protecting the bank’s resources, assets, employees, and shareholders’ rights, as well as preserving its major achievements, which the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia had sought to seize.
