The Mohammed VI Foundation for African Scholars Prize and its annual competitions represent an important scientific and continental event. They aim to serve the Holy Quran, the noble Prophetic Sunnah, and Africa’s heritage, while promoting the values of moderation, tolerance, and religious balance.
The prize covers several fields, including the Holy Quran, Prophetic Hadith, African Islamic manuscripts and documents, research into cultural heritage and collective memory, and the recognition of scholars and researchers. Each year, the foundation honours a distinguished group of African scholars and researchers in recognition of their academic and spiritual contributions.
