Prime Minister Inspects Fuel Stations, Says Economic War Can Be Overcome

Prime Minister Kamil Idris, accompanied by Minister of Energy Al-Mu’tasim Ibrahim and Khartoum State Governor Ahmed Othman Hamza, inspected a number of fuel stations in the capital, Khartoum, on Thursday, checking on the availability of petroleum products and ensuring their continued supply to citizens.

During the inspection tour, the Prime Minister said that the war had shifted from a military conflict to an economic war, adding: “The economic war can be overcome.”

He directed that fuel stations be supplied with additional quantities of petroleum products, stressing the need for station operators to expedite fuel distribution to citizens to avoid overcrowding and congestion. He also urged banks to address technical problems affecting banking applications in order to facilitate citizens’ access to essential services and transactions.

For his part, the Governor of Khartoum State praised citizens for their patience and resilience, particularly during the war, noting that the country was facing another type of war in the form of an economic war. He affirmed that fuel was available and announced that additional quantities of petroleum products would be supplied to fuel stations across the capital.

The Prime Minister’s field visit and that of his accompanying delegation received a warm welcome from citizens, who said that such visits strengthen public confidence in the state and demonstrate the government’s commitment to providing essential services. Citizens chanted slogans including: “One Army, One People.”
