Dialogue Preparation Committee Invites Political Forces for Consultative Meetings

The spokesperson for the Sudanese-Sudanese Dialogue Preparation Committee, Engineer Osman Mirghani, announced that the committee had begun inviting all political forces without exception to hold consultative meetings in preparation for the Sudanese-Sudanese Dialogue Conference.

Speaking at a press conference held by the committee at its headquarters in Khartoum on Tuesday, Mirghani said the committee would begin its meetings with political forces in the coming period. He noted that next week would see a dedicated meeting with the Democratic Bloc, followed by a consultative meeting with the remaining political forces.

He explained that the committee would continue meeting with various political components with the aim of achieving the broadest possible consensus on issues related to preparing for the dialogue. It would subsequently summarize the outcomes of the consultations and establish a platform on which the Dialogue Conference could be built.

Mirghani revealed that the committee remains in continuous contact with international and regional powers, noting that a meeting is expected this week with a group of European Union countries and the Sudan Issues Committee, alongside ongoing meetings with other organizations and countries.

He confirmed that the committee expects to complete its work within a limited period, expressing hope that the Sudanese-Sudanese Dialogue Conference will be held before the end of the year, allowing the committee to conclude its mission and usher in a new phase following the dialogue.
