Sudan to Face Ethiopia in Juba and Visit Mozambique in Maputo

Sudan’s sporting community is awaiting the announcement of the full squad for the national senior team, which will compete in African competitions, over the next two weeks. The squad is expected to feature new faces, including young players active in European and Asian leagues.
Last week, the Sudan Football Association selected Juba National Stadium to host Sudan’s match against Ethiopia in the first round of the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, which will be held in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
The “Falcons of Jediane” will begin their qualifying campaign against Ethiopia in Group 10 on Friday, September 25, at Juba National Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Juba and Khartoum time.
For their second match, Sudan will play away against Mozambique in the second round, visiting the National Stadium in the capital, Maputo, on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Khartoum time.
Sudan is competing in Group 10 alongside Senegal, Ethiopia, and Mozambique in the race to qualify for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations finals.
