The National Fund for Supporting Youth and Sports Activities Holds a Debriefing Meeting

The Board of Directors of the National Fund for Supporting Youth and Sports Activities held an informative meeting on Saturday with leaders of youth and sports federations and organizations at the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Hassan Barqou and attended by Professor Ahmed Adam Ahmed, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Dr. Saber Al-Khandaqawi.
The Minister stressed the importance of basing federation projects on scientific principles, praising the Fund’s response to the nation’s call and affirming its support for the new phase of development in both sectors.
For his part, Hassan Barqou announced that the Fund will work as a unified team, focusing on youth innovation. He revealed a six-month action plan and a short-term plan extending to December 31st.
Key strategic projects include: transforming the camp grounds into the International Youth City, transforming the Youth Palace into an international training center, and constructing five stadiums to Olympic standards.
During the meeting, federation leaders called for prioritizing human development over infrastructure, creating a supportive environment, and establishing a permanent headquarters for innovators. They affirmed their support for the fund’s new leadership and expressed optimism that this initiative would positively impact youth and athletes.
