Iranian Foreign Minister: UAE Should Reconsider its Alliance with Israel

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has called on the United Arab Emirates to reconsider its policy toward Tehran, saying its alliance with Israel has not protected it.
Addressing the BRICS foreign ministers’ meeting in New Delhi, on Thursday, Araqchi responded to what he called the “baseless claims of the UAE representative,” saying, “Your alliance with the Israelis has not protected you either, and you should reconsider your policy toward Iran,” according to Russia Today Arabic.
Araqchi added, “I did not mention the UAE by name in my speech, out of respect for unity and I preferred not to refer to it. But in reality, I must say that the UAE was directly involved in the aggression against my country, and when this aggression began, they even refrained from condemning it.”
He continued, “They allowed their territory to be used to launch artillery and equipment against us.” It was only yesterday that it was revealed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu traveled to the UAE and Abu Dhabi during the war. It also emerged that they participated in these attacks and may have acted directly against us. Therefore, the UAE is an active partner in this aggression, without a doubt.
Western and Israeli media reports on Wednesday indicated that both the Israeli Minister of Internal Security and the head of the Shin Bet security service visited Abu Dhabi during the war and held talks with their Emirati counterparts.
