Sudanese PM: Looking Forward to Constructive Dialogue with the Pope

Sudanese Prime Minister (PR), Kamil Idris, left departed for the Vatican on Saturday for an official visit, during which he will hold talks on issues of peace and social harmony.
In a post on the “X” platform, Idris wrote: “I am honored to be traveling to the Vatican at the invitation of The Holy See, Pope Leo XIV, and I look forward to a constructive dialogue on peace, humanitarian cooperation, promoting interfaith understanding, and the shared responsibility of the international community to support the Sudanese people during this critical stage in our nation’s history.”
The Prime Minister is accompanied by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Muawiya Othman Khalid, the Deputy Director General of the General Intelligence Service, Lieutenant General Abbas Mohamed Bakheet, and other officials.
