Sudanhorizon – Mariam Abasher – Exclusive
The Sudanese diplomatic mission accredited to the Islamic Republic of Iran has resumed its operations from Istanbul, Turkey, following the evacuation of some community members who wished to leave, prior to the outbreak of a US-Israeli war on Iran.
According to exclusive information obtained by Sudanhorizon news website, the mission was evacuated during the student evacuation, in accordance with the plan developed by the mission and approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The community members who chose to remain in Iran are safe, according to periodic contacts, and they have opted to remain rather than leave.
It is worth noting that 24 students, accompanied by some of their families, arrived in Port Sudan last March as the first group of community members from Iran. Other students had previously traveled to Muscat, the capital of the Sultanate of Oman, with the Omani community to join their families residing there.
