Sudan: Inflation Rate Down to 40.22%

Sudan’s inflation rate fell to 40.22% in March, compared to 56.39% in February, this year.

A statement issued by the Central Bureau of Statistics on Thursday said that “the rate of change in the general price level – inflation – in March 2026 has decreased by 16% compared to the previous month.”

The statement indicated that the inflation rate in urban areas during March decreased to 41.33% compared to February, compared to 66.98% recorded in the preceding month, while the inflation rate in rural areas went down to 39.53% in March, from 50.86% recorded in February.
