Regional Oil Infrastructure Threatened Following US Strike on Iran’s Kharg Island

Iranian media reported that the Iranian Armed Forces announced on Saturday that any attack on oil and energy infrastructure in Iran would lead to retaliatory strikes against energy infrastructure belonging to oil companies cooperating with the United States in the region.
The warning came after US President Donald Trump announced that the United States had destroyed military targets on Kharg Island, Iran’s main oil hub.
Kharg Island is considered a critical export terminal, handling around 90 per cent of Iran’s oil shipments.
