Port Sudan – Sudanhorizon
The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, affirmed that the regular forces in all their formations stand shoulder to shoulder with the Sudanese people to decisively defeat the rebellion and eliminate it. He stressed that the state will not allow any opportunity for a new rebellion, and that any negligence or leniency in this regard will be met with firmness and decisive action.
Al-Burhan made these remarks while addressing the graduation ceremony of the 22nd qualifying batch of the General Intelligence Service, in the presence of the Director General of the Service, Lieutenant General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal. He praised the heroic role of the Service’s personnel who joined the “Battle of Dignity” from its very first moments and supported the Armed Forces across all battlefronts.
He commended the steadfastness of the General Intelligence Service and its loyalty to the national cause at a time when many values and commitments had collapsed, affirming the determination of the Armed Forces and other regular forces to restore security and stability throughout the country. He stated: “The rebellion is destined to end.”
The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council further explained that the oath taken by the graduates doubles their responsibility in safeguarding the unity of the nation and protecting its resources, noting that the real dangers surrounding the country require the application of the principle that “security is everyone’s responsibility.”
