The head of the Sudanese Humanitarian Aid Commission(HAC) , Salwa Adam Bunya, has stressed the need to monitor the work of international and national organizations in remote localities and villages.

During her visit to White Nile State on Thursday, Bunya called for the adoption of the voluntary return option to transition to a phase of recovery and stability.

In a meeting with the Executive Director of Tendelti Locality, she pointed to the importance of the community’s role in alleviating the suffering caused by war and displacement, reintegrating families among their relatives in Tendelti, and promoting the values of coexistence.

The Commissioner’s tour included a visit to Camp 116 in Tendelti Locality, where she addressed the resident families and listened to their problems and basic needs. She promised to provide all necessary assistance, emphasizing the priority of children’s education to guarantee their fundamental right and safeguard their future.

Bunya pinpointed that the country is now entering a phase of recovery and peace thanks to the Armed Forces, urging those wishing to return voluntarily to begin the process of returning to safe areas. She also urged families to overcome this ordeal and the harsh conditions that have befallen the Sudanese people, calling for reflection on the past and a return home to begin the battle of reconstruction anew.
