State Department:Rubio and Saudi Counterpart Discussed Coordination, Including on Sudan

US State Department Deputy Spokesperson Tommy Piggott announced that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio met with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation following the November meeting between US President Donald Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Piggott explained that the US Secretary of State and his Saudi counterpart discussed “continued coordination to support security and stability in the Middle East, including Gaza, Yemen, Sudan, and Syria.”

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan arrived in Washington on Wednesday, and held talks with the Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Representative Brian Mast, and the Committee’s Ranking Member, Representative Gregory Meeks, as well as several other members of the Committee, as part of his official visit to the United States.
