Sudan and Saudi Arabia Share Identical Views on Strengthening Relations

Sudanese Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris has affirmed the strength of the relations between Sudan and Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the Sudanese government’s commitment to enhancing cooperation between the two countries in all fields to serve the common interests of the two peoples.

In a press statement following his meeting with the Prime Minister on Tuesday in Port Sudan, the Saudi Ambassador to Sudan, Ali bin Hassan Jaafar, explained that the meeting addressed issues of bilateral cooperation between Sudan and Saudi Arabia.

He noted the convergence of views on strengthening and developing bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, particularly in the areas of economic and developmental cooperation. He added that the meeting also discussed humanitarian projects provided by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, as well as several projects that will be launched soon in the electricity sector.

The Saudi Ambassador also stated that he briefed the Prime Minister on the latest developments in Yemen, especially the situation in southern Yemen.
