Sudanhorizon – Hala Hamza

The Ministry of Finance on Tuesday signed a contract to link the National Bank of Egypt (Khartoum) to the government-owned electronic collection and payment service for government e-transactions (“Eisaley”), at the Ministries Complex in Port Sudan.

The contract was signed on behalf of the Ministry by the Director of the Chamber of Accounts, Mustafa Ali, and on behalf of the bank by the General Manager, Nabil Ahmed Sarhan, in the presence of the Ministry’s Director General of Information Technology, the Legal Adviser, the Director General of Revenues, the Director General of the Treasury, and members of the technical committee of the Electronic Payment Emergency Room at the Ministry.

The Director of Information Technology, Engineer Lamyaa Al-Nour, indicated that 16 banks have signed agreements with the Ministry to provide the “Eisaley” service and have completed the required procedures. This step enhances the ease of government transactions, saves time and effort, increases revenue transparency, and reduces reliance on cash and paper-based transactions.
