Zain and Friends of Peace and Development Organization Sign a Partnership Agreement to Raise Awareness of the Dangers of War Remnants Under the Supervision of the National Mine Action Center

As part of its ongoing commitment to society, the environment, and humanity, Zain Sudan signed a partnership agreement on Saturday, March 1, with the Friends of Peace and Development Organization to raise awareness of the dangers of landmines, unexploded ordnance, and war remnants. This initiative is being carried out under the direct supervision of the National Mine Action Center.
The signing ceremony took place at the National Mine Action Center headquarters in Port Sudan, with a strong media presence and attendance from government officials, civil society organizations, and experts concerned with the issue of war remnants.
The agreement was signed on behalf of Zain by Mr. Saleh Mohammed Ali, Senior Director of Corporate Communications, and on behalf of the Friends of Peace and Development Organization by its General Manager, Mr. Babiker Jamil, in the presence of Major General Khalid Hamdan Adam, Director of the National Mine Action Center.
This partnership aims to enhance community awareness of the dangers of war remnants through a series of awareness campaigns, activities, and targeted messages. The objective is to protect communities affected by armed conflicts and highlight the risks posed by unidentified explosive objects and unexploded ordnance in conflict-affected areas.
It is worth noting that the Friends of Peace and Development Organization is a non-profit voluntary organization registered with the Humanitarian Aid Commission in Sudan. The organization works in mine clearance and awareness campaigns under the direct supervision of the National Mine Action Center.
